A BLIND KIND OF SIGHT

Many many incidents happened the days following my last post. Time passes so fast. I've been living in only a portion of reality. Hari Raya inching closer yet I've not gotten myself anything to wear. Lucky I have the loVely Anna Sui purse Nanaz gave me and my open-toe silver boot-like heels that I spent close to a freaking $80 for. I did question myself about buying the heels though. It occurred to me that I've just burnt a damaging hole in my wallet. BUT... but but, the heels are darn comfortable for long distance walking despite being almost 4 inches high. OF COURSE! It's made of original REAL leather inside-out. Soft calf leather, in fact. So far I've not gotten any blisters from wearing it. And the best part is it being a designer shoe. Actually, really thinking of it, $80 for this kind of quality is kinda cheap. Say... value for money? Hmm...
Sometimes, I tend to spend like aWHORE.
Which brings me to my question today:
IS BRAND/ING IMPORTANT???
I'm pretty sure a classmate of mine chose this topic for his business analysis. Quite interesting. You know, I used to think that BRANDS/ BRANDED merchandises are expensive as hell because of the QUALITY that comes along with it. 10 years ago, Nike was popular because its products are made of good QUALITY. 10 years ago, Bosch provides QUALITY long-lasting household items.
BUT THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO BEFORE THESE FIRMS DECIDED TO COMPROMISE THEIR QUALITY IN ORDER TO PUSH UP NET PROFIT.
Now, most of Nike's products are only popular for being EXPENSIVE. Youngsters buy it purely for the sake of showing off they can afford expensive items. They look pretty much like a bunch of abysmally foolish stuck-up arseholes to me. I'm sorry Nike, I know my pair of sandals is an exclusive one of yours (thank God it isn't one of those made without quality), but I can't agree that many of your products are living up to the brand name anymore.
And oh, now Bosch is just a brand too. Do you realise? ...that these products are being sold more expensive than the average because of their brands? It's like people are buying the brands NOT the real item itself. Don't you think buying a NAME, just a name, for $$$ is stupid?
WHERE'S THE JUSTICE FOR THAT AMOUNT OF CHING CHING I PARTED WITH FOR THESE PRODUCTS???
I can't help but realise ever since these products have been outsourced to places with cheap labours to be mass-produced that their quality drops like a lump of poo.
So my theory now is:
Any Merchandise Produced By Cheap Labour = Low Quality = Not Value For Money
Which ends up with me buying a product purely by being satisfied with its quality. Sad, isn't it? Firms start up humble making sure of quality only to end up greedy hoping that its past image will live up forever to cover the shit that they produce. I'm sorry, but image will fade with customers' experiences. Stupidity results in death.
And HAHAHA, this is why I chose "ARE FIRMS LOSING THEIR COMPETITIVE EDGE BY OUTSOURCING PRODUCTION" as my analysis report. I loVe criticism in a study.
And I don't think I was being dumb by buying the heels and my Nike sandals because both possesses adequate quality to qualify as value for money. If you can't apprehend whatever I've just said, it means you are being screwed too hard. Switch off that dildo, please.
